Happy Scrappy Friends | Color Combo: Pink & Yellow

Hey, hey! How's it going everyone? Thanks for hopping by for the Happy Scrappy Friends blog hop today. Our blog hop challenge this time is a color combo - pink and yellow! I couldn't be happier since it's one of my favorite color combinations for cards! No kidding, I even made a kind of a mood board with pink and yellow craft items last year just because I like it so much :)

Now for my card, I'm going trough a clean & simple phase right now and the style reflects in today's project. I found two star pattern papers in my past Studio Calico card kit papers and made that my card theme. First, I die-cut a large star with my nested star dies right into the yellow paper, then cut a second smaller star from the pink paper and put it on top slightly off center so it aligns with the card base edges.

A cute birthday sentiment from the Party Animals stamp set on vellum, a few drops of silvery spray mist and silver thread completes my card.

I told you this one would be simple! :) Now, I can't wait to see what the other girl's came up with. Say hi from me to Daphne, who is your next stop on the hop. Also, here's the full list of participants if you want to start from the beginning:

... and as always, don't forget to visit the Happy Scrappy Friends Blog for a chance to play along and win a guest spot or gift card. Happy Monday, friends!
