Stash Busting for the win!

I've been going through my overflowing stash recently and really REALLY need to work on this. Thus, the stash buster idea was born. Here's how simple it works:

  • Every few days this summer, I plan to dig into my stash and make a card from at least some of those really old papers / embellishments or items I have in multiples.
  • I'll post the cards to my Instagram with #pixngluestashbuster and some of them will also come to the blog when time permits.

You are invited to play along if you want to. Just tag me @pixnglue or #pixngluestashbuster so I can see it and visit your account :) Also, I noticed, there are some unopened packages from previous Studio Calico collections etc. that I probably will give away here or on Instagram. Keep an eye out for that as well. Now, that I have the idea out, let's see what I came up with for my first card in the series.

The idea for this card was born when I saw the long format cards and envelopes from Studio Calicos card basics kits this spring. The paper is from American Crafts shoreline collection (2012) and I also used some of the Studio Calico Color Theory buttons (not really old but I have buttons for years not just from SC).

The two sentiments came from a more recent stamp set, Party Animals by Tina Aszmus stamped in black with Versafine Onyx Black and I also sprinkled on some Mister Huey Calico Shine.

What do you think? How do you manage to keep your stash to a healthy and organizable size?
